Description: PTA conducted a boutique campaign for the founder of the Altimeter Group and former principal analyst at Forrester Research on a book addressing the leadership implications of the social media revolution and how leaders can use new technologies such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc. to improve efficiency, communication, and decision-making for both themselves and their organizations. PTA executed a national media campaign with an emphasis on print and online media, as well as support for the publisher's local media efforts in San Francisco. PTA also developed all press materials.
Results: Open Leadership became a New York Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today and Publishers Weekly bestseller. The book was driven by solid coverage in the business media, both print and online. Charlene was named one of the "100 Most Creative People in Business" by Fast Company, "One of the Smartest People in Tech" by Fortune.com, and "One of the Top 25 Women in Tech" by AlwaysOn. PTA arranged for Charlene to speak at Turner Broadcasting headquarters in Atlanta as part of the "Think About It" program for executives and employees. Charlene also spoke at a Buzz 2010 breakfast in Washington, DC sponsored by SmartBrief.

TESTIMONIALS
Working with Planned Television Arts was like taking a test drive in a Corvette. It was fantastic. The PTA folks are consummate professionals, and they showed that in their excellent promotion for Black Voices. They helped position Black Voices as "Black America's Favorite Web Site."
